Highlights of Michael's interview on That Regan Woman

The host/interviewer on this program is Judith Regan. She is a controversial book editor and is the publisher of The Regan Company. I believe this interview was done in June of 1997. It aired locally [central Illinois] in November, 1997. What follows are the highlights of the interview.

• What's most important to you?

  The kids [Wesley and Liam, Suzana's children] and the love of a lady.
  Unconditional love
  Being faithful - the best sign of a great love affair

• About his encounter with Janet Reno.

  It changed my life
  Changed my personality
  Changed my life-style
  "I became a warrior for the First Amendment"
  Changed the meaning of my life - took me back to my father
  "I'm grateful."

• What did your mother give you?

  Pain - "I can draw on pain like that. Cuz it was written on my soul at 3 years of age."
  She had all the art - "All the artistry in me came from her."
  She was "gorgeous when she was young."

• The Voyeur

  MM hopes it will be the first of 10 books.
  He recited the opening of the book and then said J.C. Kaminer is "a wonderful character."

• Most important thing that shaped you?

  The memory of my Grandfather
  Ayn Rand
  Grandfather and Father were self-made men.

• Biggest Heartache?

  "I've had a few."

• Biggest Joy?

  To be alive and free
  Living an individual life, an independent life
  The roots and values of my father, "I adored my father."

• What do you cherish?

  Unconditional love

• How is it to raise another man's children?

  Difficult - in not wanting to compete with the natural father
  Never speak against their father
  Support their love of their Dad
  Be there for them when the need you

• How should a gentleman treat a lady?

  With honesty - tell the truth and you won't go wrong
  I did that 'cuz I found I can't keep a secret.
