Canada Poses the Greatest Possible Threat to America - Moriarty

president was not able to import France's revolutionary ideals to the United States. Now President George W. Bush

Moriarty Reactivates The Realists in Roe v. Wade Campaign
Michael Moriarty is launching a campaign to transform Roe v. Wade1 into a state's right.
For more information, e-mail: realists2008@yahoo.com.
1 - On January 22, 1973, the U.S. Supreme Court announced its decision in Roe v. Wade, a challenge to a
Texas statute that made it a crime to perform an abortion unless a woman's life was at stake. The case had
been filed by "Jane Roe," an unmarried woman who wanted to safely and legally end her pregnancy. Siding with
Roe, the court struck down the Texas law. In its ruling, the court recognized for the first time that the
constitutional right to privacy "is broad enough to encompass a woman's decision whether or not to terminate
her pregnancy" (Roe v. Wade, 1973). Roe has come to be known as the case that legalized abortion nationwide.
At the time the decision was handed down, nearly all states outlawed abortion except to save a woman's life
or for limited reasons such as preserving the woman's health, instances of rape, incest, or fetal anomaly.
Roe rendered these laws unconstitutional, making abortion services safer and more accessible to women
throughout the country. The decision also set a legal precedent that affected more than 20 subsequent
Supreme Court cases involving restrictions on access to abortion.

Former actor Michael "Law & Order" Moriarty, who has been involved in Canadian politics since leaving the show,
claims he is going to announce his bid for the 2008 presidential elections.
(Moriarty's press agent told us Moriarty ran for Canadian premier on the Progressive Conservative Party ticket.
He did not. He helped form the Canadian Alliance Party, which replaced the Progressive Party.)
Moriarty, who played a chief prosecutor on the popular show, claims he would not go for the death
penalty--if he was prosecuting Saddam Hussein. He'd go for a lifetime of hard labor.
"It would be too easy to put him to death," he said. He felt the same way about Timothy McVeigh.
Michael Sneed mentioned Michael in her Chicago Suntimes column today.
"Where's he now?
Actor Michael Moriarty, who left the hit TV show "Law & Order" and went to
Canada, where he formed a new political party--the Progressive Conservative
Party--and ran unsuccessfully for prime minister of Canada, will tell all on John
Cox's "Progressive Conservative" radio show today on WJJG Radio. Well . . .
maybe not all. (Moriarty doesn't support Canada's choice of sitting out the Iraq war.)"

In the January 29 Ottawa Citizen:
Actor accuses law and order of failing him in assault case
Crown, police bungled charges, Moriarty says
VANCOUVER - Award-winning actor and notorious alcoholic Michael Moriarty is upset that all charges have been
dropped against two men accused of beating him. (...)
Moriarty accused the Crown and police of bungling the case.
"Never call the cops," said the actor. "They're the biggest street gang in Canada."
Moriarty said he has been assaulted three times in the past two months and gets no support from barkeeps.
"In most civilized bars, it's 'Don't you think you've had enough to drink, Mr. Moriarty?' But here, it's 'have
another drink, Mr. Moriarty,' and then somebody beats you up. I thought the Wolf Lounge was my neighborhood bar.
I thought we got along. At happy hour, we'd all show up and shoot the shit. Apparently, no one at the bar liked me,
but I didn't know that."
Moriarty said he intends to run for mayor of Maple Ridge in three years, refusing to discuss how that will occur
since he is a United States citizen.
Michael Moriarty in National Enquirer
The February 4/03 edition of The National Enquirer features a story headlined "It's 'High Noon' for Michael Moriarty:
He aims to clean up the town where he was beaten up - by running for mayor." Moriarty will have to become a
Canadian citizen to run for public office in Maple Ridge, British Columbia.
Michael Moriarty says the United States is playing something akin to what Michael Douglas was playing in the 1997 movie The Game and the end result won't be pretty. This commentary appears in the current edition of Enter Stage Right.

Here is an excerpt of Moriarty's Screenplay in Development The Has Been
Moriarty Screenplay in Development
Michael Moriarty is completing the screenplay for The Has Been, a breezy comedy about the misadventures of a grandiose
actor and his eccentric entourage.
Mr. Moriarty notes that: "The Has Been is a satire on the changing nature of the entertainment business. It's about an
actor trained in the legitimate theatre, as he tries to mesh with Hollywood North. His own snobbery is part of the
comedy."
Mr. Moriarty is putting the finishing touches on another personal project - the film version of his stage play
Hitler Meets Christ, shot entirely on location in Vancouver's Downtown East Side "combat zone."
Mr. Moriarty is seeking partners/investors for The Has Been. Serious expressions of interest should be sent

Moriarty Silly for Tonto
An article entitled "Moriarty Silly for Tonto" appeared in the November 29 edition of The Vancouver Province.
The story by reporter Sorelle Saidman - which draws on information that appeared here first - outlines Moriarty's
latest activities, including his starring role in the comedy "Don't Call Me Tonto", which features David Hasselhoff
and Gordon Tootoosis. Moriarty also participated in a silent auction that raised funds for a Vancouver food bank.

Moriarty Stars in 'Wacko Comedy', Guest Stars in TV Crime Drama
Michael Moriarty stars in Don't Call Me Tonto, which he describes as "a wacko, kind of It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World comedy."
"It's new for me but wonderfully challenging," Moriarty says. "I play a doubly-addicted, drunk detective. The character is basically a stoned Wile E. Coyote pursuing the hero's Roadrunner. It's outrageous, music hall slapstick." Don't Call Me Tonto starts shooting in Calgary on November 13.
Then Moriarty returns to Vancouver to guest star in an episode of the crime drama Just Cause, playing Richard Thomas' father, Dr. Whitney.
A quote from Michael Moriarty:
"After forty years in this business I've grown a bit jaded and cynical.
I've learned that I'm happier for those who are happy for me. It's the best
award I know. Now that I have a family, I have a reason to go out and make them proud of me."
