Bev's Experience at the North York Symphony

I MET HIM!!!!!! I SHOOK HIS HAND!!!!!! (wasn't too hard because I was already doing a full body shake) In between the first segment and second, (MM's narration), there was an intermission, and he was already in the theatre. There were a couple of other people saying hello, getting autographs, etc. So, I introduced myself, told him I was a big fan, and then said, "Could I trouble you for an autograph?" to which he said "Of course!" I, uh, casually mentioned that I was friends with you, and he said that yes he was indeed quite familiar with the site and was very pleased at the thoroughness and accuracy of the site! (YEAH FOR YOU, DEBBIE!!!)

So then I wobbled back to my seat, somehow, and listened and watched his Symphony as well as the Lincoln Portrait. Found it kinda strange to be listening to something so "American" -- no offense intended!

WHAT HE WAS WEARING/HOW HE LOOKED -- He was wearing a black tux, (sans tails), and his pants had the stripe down the side, etc. He was wearing the requisite white shirt and black bow tie, and I believe oxford type shoes. Upclose, he's a very handsome man. Anyway, during the Lincoln Portrait, he had on his Ben Stone glasses (as I call them) -- they were the half-glasses, rimmed in gold. He has his eyes closed during the playing of his Symphony, smiling to himself. He must have been pleased with their rendition of it!! It was very nice!!

Thank you so much Bev! Sounds like a GREAT experience! [dw]
